Need a different number? Custom orders of 10–80 totes are priced per tote in the booking form. A refundable deposit ($40 for up to 20 totes, $75 for 30+) is collected with payment.

Pickup is the best deal. Weekend delivery is available for a per-trip fee, and you can mix and match (for example, delivery out and drop-off back).

Questions
How many totes do I need?
A rough guide: 10 for a dorm or a single room, 20 for a studio or 1-bedroom, 30 for a 2-bedroom, 50 for a 3–4 bedroom home. Most people need a few more than they think.
How big and strong are the totes?
Each is a 27-gallon heavy-duty tote, about 30" × 20" × 14", with a snap-on yellow lid. Keep each packed tote under about 50 lbs so it's safe to lift — put books and heavy items in partly filled totes.

From our location in Fort Bend County. You'll get the exact address and your pickup window in your confirmation.
Why weekend-only delivery?
We're a small local business and run deliveries on Saturdays and Sundays. If you need weekday timing, pickup is available on weekday evenings.
Can I extend my rental?
Yes. Email us or reply to your confirmation before your return date and we'll send a link to pay the difference to the next rental length. Delivered rentals extend in whole weeks.
Are the totes clean?
Every tote is emptied, washed and dried between rentals.
What if I cancel?
Free cancellation up to 72 hours before your start date. After that, or on a no-show, 50% of the rental is charged.
Rental terms
- Rental period. Begins on your start date and ends on your return date. Early returns are not refunded.
- Payment and deposit. The rental, any delivery fees, sales tax and a refundable deposit ($40 for up to 20 totes, $75 for 30 or more) are paid before your rental begins. The deposit is refunded within 2 business days of return, minus any fees below.
- Extensions and late returns. Extensions must be requested before the return date. After a one-day grace period, unextended late returns are charged $10 per day (up to 30 totes) or $15 per day (more than 30 totes). Items more than 7 days late are treated as not returned.
- Lost, damaged or unreturned items. $20 per tote and $6 per lid. Normal scuffs and scratches are not charged. You authorize us to deduct these fees from your deposit and to invoice any remaining balance.
- Condition at return. Return totes empty and broom-clean. A $3 per tote cleaning fee applies for food, paint, soil or odors.
- Prohibited items. No hazardous materials, chemicals, fuels, food waste, live animals or illegal items.
- Use at your own risk. You are responsible for safe lifting, loading and transporting of the totes and their contents. Yellow Lid Rentals is not responsible for injury, or for loss of or damage to items stored or transported in the totes, to the fullest extent allowed by law.
- Delivery. Deliveries and retrievals take place on weekends in a time window we confirm with you. For retrieval, leave the empty, nested totes and lids stacked in an accessible spot.
- Cancellations. Free up to 72 hours before the start date; 50% of the rental after that or on a no-show.
